Mass choir rehearsal cancelled tonight due to the Classes for the COCE being held at our church;  the classes for adults will be tonight, tomorrow night and Saturday morning; these classes begin at 6 PM and end at 9:30 PM; the youth classes will be held at Calvary Baptist;  Unity will NOT have any youth participating in the sleepover as no parents contacted Sis. Jo'Ethel or Sis. Barbara this past Sunday, which was the deadline; also see *message below from Sis. Fullilove regarding a meeting on Saturday; I'm not sure of the place or time of the meeting;  More information will come from Sis. Jo'Ethel.

IGBC Congress of Christian Education (COCE) May 17th, 18th & 19th at Unity (more information from the pastor).

The Annual Rosepark Festival will be Saturday at the Rosepark Elementary School;  Unity is responsible for the Balloon Booth as well as our church booth; Sandy did not give us a copy of the schedule; I have a call into her to get that so I can let each one know what time they are scheduled to volunteer. If you are to work in the Unity booth, please get with Sis. Cathy for a schedule.  If you were unable to go to First Southern last night to help with the labeling and get your t-shirt, you can get it at the park on Saturday; I have the list of each person and the sizes you have requested.

On Sunday, May 20th, there will be a meeting for those that are helping in the Swap Meet after church.

LADIES keep your calendars open for June 2nd and our 5th Annual Tea;  please get your pictures age 9 and under to Sis. Sivels by no later than May 30th;

Single Parent Ministry meeting June 1st at 6:30 PM.

5th Annual UBC Sisterhood Tea and Open House Saturday June 2nd from 2 PM - 4 PM; ladies don't forget to turn in your baby pictures to Sister Clarissa Sivels by no later than May 30th; also Sister Charlotte needs a description for the hat(s) you will wear for the hat contest.

Unity Baptist Church Youth Department Fundraiser (Swap Meet, Car Wash, and Bar-B-Que) June 9th @ 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Come and support our youth.

Movie night every Friday night in the month of June sponsored by the Sisterhood; first movie will be on June 1st at 6:30 PM; all movies are age appropriate for all ages and genders; please bring your own snacks to share; blanket, pillow, fluffy shoes, etc.

Matthew 15:21-28

 

21 Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.” 23 But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, for she cries out after us.” 24 But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” 25 Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” 26 But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” 27 And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” 28 Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
